Mr. Desjardins is a member of the Board of Directors of the Société de services financiers Fonds FMOQ Inc., HEC Montréal, DJM Capital Inc., Centria Inc. and Fiera Axium Infrastructure Inc., as well as a member of the Council of Governors of Centraide of Greater Montreal, the Investment Committee of the Canadian Centre for Architecture, and the Executive Committee and Board of Directors of Orchestre Symphonique de Montréal.
He began his career as Analyst and Portfolio Manager before co-founding, in 1972, TAL Global Asset Management. In 2003, he acquired a portion of Elantis Investment Management’s assets under management and, rallying some professionals from the firm, created Fiera Capital.
Mr. Desjardins graduated from Collège Mont‐Saint‐Louis in 1966 with a Bachelor of Arts. In 1969, he earned his master’s degree in commerce (finance) from HEC Montréal, and later obtained the Chartered Financial Analyst designation.
